Kolukattai

                           

                                                                 

Ingredients
Rice flour-2 cups
Onion-2
Red chilli-5
Curry leaves-few
Mustard seeds-1/4 tbsp
Channa dal-1/2 tbsp
Coconut flakes- 10 flakes

Method
For 2 cups of rice flour,boil 4 cups of water.Turn off the flame. Add rice flour slowlyto boiled water, at the same time, stir them carefully so that no lumps are formed.Soon the water will be enough and it will come to chappathi dough consistency. Transfer this dough to another bowl.In a pan,heat 2 tbsp of oil,add mustard seeds when it splutters,add channa dal,curry leaves,onion,red chillies.Saute them well.When onion turns little brown,turn off the flame.Add the prepared dough to this seasoning and stir them well, so that it is uniformly mixed together.Allow this to cool.Make small balls ,In a steamer or Idly vessel cook them.Yummy delicious kolukattai will be ready.
