Whole green gram dal/pacha payaru curry

Whole green gram dal/pachapayaru  is a healthy curry.Once in every week i used to make this curry.Sprouted green gram dal is even more nutritious and tastes better.



                                     
Ingredients
Whole green gram dal/pachapayaru-1/2 cup
Onion-1
Green chilies-2
Tomato-1
Ginger-1//4 inch
Garlic-4 flakes
Coriander powder-1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tbsp
For seasoning
Mustard seeds-1/4 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1/4 tbsp
Curry leaves-few(optional)

Method
Pressure cook the dal .Keep it aside.In a pan,heat 1 tbsp of oil,add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,curry leaves.  Add chopped onions and green chillies.Saute them till onions are transparent,add chopped tomatoes.When the tomatoes are soft and mussy, put coriander powder,turmeric powder and add 1/4th cup of water to it.When th raw smell goes off ,it is time to add the cooked dal and mix it well.Let it boil for 5 minutes.Turn off the flame.Now the curry is ready to go with  rice.
